RIDE REPORT 4th December to Glen Helen

OK, so we had a ride planned for this morrning to go to Jim’s Place for breakfast. As some of the guys had gone down there last week the decision was made to ride to Glen Helen instead. (Great Choice, I’m glad I thought of it!) As there were only 5 bikes with some of the guys still heading back from their trip West to the National rally or recovering or moving house we chugged off West young man to Glen Helen, The weather was perfect cool overcast and a spit of rain here and there that would have made you think that Puddles had planned the ride.

A new member Scott came along on his Brand New Sportster which ate up the miles like we would expect. A great ride out with the wind behind us all hungry for a great lunch that Glen Helen is famous for. Marty thought he would be clever and whip in while we were all chatting and ordered his lunch first. But the Gods were against him as they forgot to cook his burger and he was last to eat anyway.

After that we headed back and into a steady breeze and sat on a comfortable speed the whole way in. All in all a trouble free ride on a perfect day with a great bunch of people. Thanks Medium Kev, Marty & Elly, Dennis and Scott for a great day of riding with good mates.

And for those of you who have been away you may have trouble-recognizing Kev he’s dropped about 12 Kilo’s and is looking rather healthy. Watch out Girls!

RIDE REPORT Jan 2012 ROSS RIVER

Ross river.   Bloody hell, sky cloudy, wind cool, its gonna rain for sure, naturally Mouthgard isn't riding today (phobia about wet...) 2 new members a couple of regulars and away we go, first turn rain, but we don't care , only light shower, nearing the Ross River resort, lotts wind, a few cows and ...Whoa a tree across the road... blammm hmm 2 rider straight through it.. wish we had pics, anyway we got there and had a great chat and a yummy bacon and eggs brekkie. Headed back with a dry road and a full stomach... will be heading there again soon...bye the way, as Hoggies we did our duty and cleared the road of the balance of the tree that blocked the road...led by Sharon (who made the boys look weak) I have to say that...
