The Chairperson informed all present that the duties and responsibilities of each Committee member's position is posted on the HOG website. He explained that an Extraordinary General Meeting had been held on March 17th due to a number of reasons including the resignations of the majority of the Executive Committee. It was agreed by the majority present at that meeting, to bring the A.G.M. forward to elect a new Committee to stand until July 2009, rather than an interim Committee to stand for three months.

The Chairperson congratulated the new Office Bearers and invited the new Director to address the meeting.
The Director, Kevin Everett, thanked everyone for their attendance and in particular those who have accepted positions on the new Committee. There is a good mix of both old and new members, which will enable the Chapter to move forward in a positive manner. He stated that the past is the past and although we have recently lost a number of good members, it is hoped that in time, some may return. If any of them do so, they will certainly be made welcome. He said that although there is still a lot to learn, he is a club man and will always promote the Chapter.
He said this is a great opportunity for the Dealership and the HOG Chapter to learn from the past and that we can't keep relying on the same people all the time. Members need to patronise the events so that we can build upwards from here. Ladies of Harley has been quiet until now, so this is the time to promote such things. The Activities Officers will organise the Calendar of Events but new ideas are always welcome. The website is another important asset to the Chapter and we need to start using it more effectively.
It is good to see the Chapter reasonably financial at present. The Show 'n' Shine will generate more finance and exposure for the Chapter, so we need to concentrate on that for now.
Thankyou for your confidence in me - I'm "Club driven" but think about the individual roles as well.
The Assistant Director, John Dawkins, thanked everyone for attending and urged everyone to have fun and enjoy riding.
The Dealer Principal, Michael Vroom, congratulated the new Committee and assured all present that the Dealership will be more involved from hereon. He also explained that Chris Dess is a part of the Dealership's Management Team and would therefore act on the Dealership's behalf at Chapter rides and events.
